I also got a screechy chemical smell from this one unfortunately. It may not be to my taste but its beautiful nonetheless. A nice woody smelling blend of oud and rose, but to me its just too much of an incense smell. So after extensive testing, the new oud Ispahan is actually better and more pleasing to most people than the vintage one. The Oud is very prominent, I have smelled something very similar to this before, the humble Al Rehab Al Sharquiavery good dupe for this scent, of course not so refined but very close. This is a great fall and winter fragrance. Apart from the sour, overripe fruity blast the upon application, Oud Ispahan goes on to become extremely classy due to the ethereal floral notes with perfectly measured amount of sweetness against a backdrop of resins. Sillage is enormous and people will notice your presence. Anyway, I was at the perfume counter in Harrods and I picked up a Dior blotter to test Cartier Le Panthere but before I sprayed it I smelled the blotter and much to my annoyance it had been used. 10/10. tbh you can get something similar like this with a lower price tag but yeah sure, it's worth the bucks.

Oud Ispahan is the first in-production Dior Privee I've tried on skin for the first time in a while, and much like its strong reputation, it does not disappoint. I enjoy many oud fragrances, even those of the skanky/powerhouse/animalic/too masculine variety. You can detect the saffron which gives a little bit of spice and a the patchouli gives a little earthiness to the fragrance, but the rose and oud are at the hear of this fragrance. . I was born in the middle east, This Fragrance is Middle Eastern kind of fragrance, Amazing, warm and sensual, Old modern perfume, when I smell it I have to close my eyes and all I see is red, Red roses, Red skies and red air. Still with amazing performance, but not the thick, heavy oud, sweet or suffocating, not even close. What is this?! The jammy rose note keeps it feminine but this beauty packs a serious punch and I absolutely love it. I am so excited about this one. An absolutely deep intense oud rose combination ridiculous longevity and silage especially on clothes in talking you can smell it a full year later as I sprayed it on my summer jackets and you could still smell it a year later after a winter hung up on the wardrobe. Not too dense, nothing is out of course to this novice nose. The perfume used to be great, but with people wearing it 24/7 (especially in middle east), it became boring.

Christian DIOR Oud Ispahan spray comes either in 2ml, 6ml or12ml sizes. the rose at the opening is very natural & fresh,like smelling the whole flower,the petals,stem,leavesall at once.and the oud here is quite different than the smoky/leathery/dirty oud from so many other works,it's got a savage musky peppery kinda old bath vibe similar to the drydown of sospiro laylati & nasomatto blamage.the combination represents a lush musky/fruity/earthy/divine glamorous scent. 
CHRISTIAN DIOR PERFUME SAMPLES, This was a blind buy and I just received this today, and applied it. Last week I tested my first fragrance from Dior's Collection Prive, Balade Sauvage. I can smell the rose and sandalwood but the rose is extremely sharp and the chemical that I mostly smell that drowns everything out is just the worst (I think it is the oud).
